Bio
My name is Miranda. I'm 21, a full-time homemaker first and foremost and a full-time student (if you can call 2.5 days a week full time!) afterwards. I'm originally from London (hence the journal title), and I moved to Worcestershire when my husband and I got married (almost a year ago now - wow!) I live with my husband, Ian, and our two cats, Izzy and Zoe, who we adopted last year. We don't have any children yet, but we're hopeful!

My husband and I are Bible-believing Christians. That means we believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died for our sins and rose again on the third day, and that we have salvation through Him and by the grace of God. (The Nicene Creed sums it up pretty well). I believe that it is my responsibility - though to me personally it's a privilege - to take care of my husband and our home. That's not to say I'm chained to the kitchen sink (in fact, my husband does most of the dishes in our house...), but rather that I take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the household and making it a warm and comfortable place for my husband to come home to at the end of the day.

I'm not from a Christian family and I attended a very competitive all-girls grammar school. There was huge pressure on us to achieve worldly success. We were always being told we could be anything we wanted to be - the small print being 'so long as it's a high-flying, top-earning, man-eating career woman'. Those of us who wanted to get married and have families learned to keep those aspirations to ourselves. To this day I don't think I've been forgiven for refusing to go to Cambridge! I'm very happy with the setup I've got now. I commute to Birmingham University and have my schedule arranged so that I'm not there every day. I am always a wife first and a student second.

Hmmm, what else can I tell you about me? I like cooking, sewing, learning foreign languages, reading (particularly Jane Austen) and movies. And, of course, like any true English girl, tea!
